Production:Polish Dance Theater - a cultural institution of the Self-Government of Greater Poland
The performative essay is inspired by Arnold Böcklin's famous painting, which also gave rise to a poem by Kazimierz Przerwy-Tetmajer and a symphonic poem by Sergei Rachmaninoff.
The three works, each in their own way, explore the theme of departure
and passing, evoking fear, but also melancholy and deep reverie.
The realization arises at the intersection of two orders: symbolic
and existential. Although it may cause anxiety, it primarily invites reflection and contemplation.
Iwona Pasinska, in the magical world of the island, will attempt to find timeless values and their meaning.
