The performative essay is inspired by Arnold Böcklin's famous painting, which also gave rise to a poem by Kazimierz Przerwy-Tetmajer and a symphonic poem by Sergei Rachmaninoff.
These three works, each in their own way, explore the theme of departure and passing, evoking fear, but also melancholy and deep reverie.
The realisation arises at the meeting point of two orders: symbolic
and existential. Although it may cause anxiety, it primarily invites reflection and contemplation.
In the magical world of the island, Iwona Pasinska will attempt to find timeless values and their meaning.
We invite you to join us on a journey through time and space,
to a place where art becomes a bridge between what passes and what does not, what passes and what remains forever.
