"WEavINg" is a dance interpretation of the myth of Arachne in a contemporary context.
Through movement, the performance explores themes of pride, rebellion and transformation, connecting the ancient story with contemporary questions. The body becomes a storytelling tool, revealing hidden meanings. The play shows how our choices can lead to unexpected consequences. It encourages reflection on how the past shapes the present.
Place of the play:
Templo de Diana, or the Temple of Diana in Merida, is a Roman structure dating back to the first century BC during the reign of Emperor Caesar Augustus. Together with the archaeological complex located within the city, it has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. During excavations here, sculptures depicting members of the imperial family were discovered - today they can be seen at the National Museum of Roman Art in Merida.
