.Like the original, both Arnold Böcklin's painting and Rachmaninoff's music were created out of the need of the heart. Out of longing.
This is, on the one hand, a dark fairy tale touching every note of our lives. On the other, an art-house folk horror - painful and sincere, yet steeped in hope. For even though we are heading in one direction, a vision shines through , that someone out there is waiting for us.
