"45" is a dynamic show combining the intensity of Israeli modern dance, neoclassical elegance and the creativity of PTT artists. Symmetry, details, pastel colors, minimalist costumes and mesmerizing play of light create a cohesive whole, enhanced by an energetic duet of percussion and saxophone. Through a non-linear narrative, the show reveals the theater's 45-year history and a collective portrait of young artists celebrating art as a life choice. It is also an invitation to the viewer to take an interactive journey in a site-specific space. The show has been presented many times abroad and in Poland - including at the Cēsis Concert Hall in Kiesa (Latvia, 2019), The State Philharmonics Sibiu (Romania, 2019), during the 24th International Dance Theater Meetings in Lublin (Poland, 2020) online during the 40th Anniversary Dance Theater Meetings. Studio Dance Stage in Warsaw (Poland, 2020), at the Cyprus Contemporary Dance Festival in Limassol (Cyprus, 2022), during the inauguration of the umPolen Festival at the Theater in Pumpenhaus in Münster (Germany, 2022). In September 2024, it was seen by audiences at the Daegu International Dance Festival and the Seoul International Dance Festival SIDance - one of the largest international festivals promoting contemporary dance and performance art in South Korea.

About the performance "45"

.
Polish Dance Theater will perform at the 22nd edition of the "Kaleidoscope" Festival of Contemporary Dance. On June 5 at 7 p.m. at the University Center for Culture and Science in Bialystok, it will present the performance "45". The title signifies an important number for the Polish Dance Theater - the premiere of the performance took place in 2019, which was the time of the 45th anniversary of the Polish Dance Theater. It is choreographed by Jacek Przybyłowicz - once a dancer with the Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company in Israel, now one of Poland's most internationally acclaimed choreographers.

The Kaleidoscope Festival is the premier dance festival in northeastern Poland. Its uniqueness is expressed through a comprehensive program accompanying the presentations of performances, including workshops, short choreographic forms, guided walks, concerts, dances, meetings and talks by artists and invited guests with the audience. The name of the Festival refers to the dictionary definition of the word "kaleidoscope," which means both a toy that creates changing, colorful compositions and a metaphor for a variety of dynamically consecutive events. Just as in a kaleidoscope the arrangements of colorful elements are constantly changing, the Kaleidoscope Festival attracts audiences with the diversity and richness of the artistic experience it offers. The festival is co-created by Karolina Garbacik, its originator and first artistic director, and Joanna Chitruszko, festival director since 2007. Partners of this artistic event in successive editions have been almost all Bialystok's cultural institutions and universities.
