Since 2022, there has been no shortage of performances for children's audiences at the Polish Dance Theater.
On June 1 and 2, we presented "KoczkodanSE" directed by Iwona Pasinska for children aged 6 to 11. It's a performance that moves, entertains and teaches, sensitizing to the feelings of animals and infecting with a passion for dance.
And already on June 17 we are heading to Warsaw with another of our productions, addressed to toddlers up to the age of 3. On that day, at 3 p.m., we invite you to the Wojciech Krukowski Laboratory room at the Center for Contemporary Art "Ujazdowski Castle" for the sound and movement installation "InstynkTY", directed by Alicja Morawska-Rubczak and choreographed by Monika Kiwak.
This will be an accompanying event to the exhibition "Hidden Life. Child in Polish Contemporary Art," showing the image of the child and childhood from the perspective of 40 contemporary artists. The exhibition explores the themes of early childhood, family ties, different views of motherhood and fatherhood, and role models shaping the identity of a young person.
.Related themes appear in "Instincts," creating a safe space for children to interact with adults, while building a story about the instinctive, close relationships that every living being establishes from birth.
This season, "Instincts" will be performed once again - this time in Poznań, at our headquarters, but within the framework of the Youngest 2023 Festival, co-organized by Art Fraction Foundation and Animation Theater. "The MOST joyful," "MOST fun," "MOST family bond-building" festival for children from 0 to 5 years old and adults close to them is a beautiful, creative and imaginative encounter with art and a great time to be together and grow artistically together. The program will include performances from Poland and Europe, as well as workshops, movement animations, performance readings and surprises!
As part of the festival, "InstynkTY" will be performed twice on June 30, at 10:30 am and 1 pm, at the headquarters of the Polish Dance Theater at 8 S. Taczaka Street in Poznan.
We invite the youngest audience to discover the world of theater, the magic of interpersonal relationships and, of course, to have fun!
