.This is a continuation of "Hourglass", which, after the concept of time analyzed from the perspective of the visions of the ancient Greeks, lived to see more modern points of view - in the case of "Temenos" we go through an inspection of space. The title finds a point of commonality with the previous project and the depth of the Greek word emphasizing space not only as a safe place, but even as a sacred area. The building leads us on a journey to its heart.
The audience in small groups will follow the artist-dancers through the rooms of the building, and the performance will unfold. This will create a closer relationship with the audience, inviting them to take part in this journey of discovery. Dance movements will be created as a result of inspiration from the characteristics of the space itself.
LEDA is an art project born from the meeting of choreographic ideas with other arts and crafts. We live in an age of connections, exchanges, overcoming limitations and interpenetration. Facing the current times with rigid patterns born of past experiences inevitably leads us to confusion and frustration. Imagining new paths means first and foremost experimenting with them, putting them into practice and evaluating their limitations and potential. That's why LEDA aims to create as many opportunities as possible to meet and test: rewriting, revising and rethinking a vocabulary more suited to our modern times.
One of the key concepts guiding the LEDA Collective is authenticity. As they write about themselves, "We know that you don't have to pull a rabbit out of a hat to create art. We know that everything starts with the ability to see, hear, feel, taste and smell the world we are in. Every moment is new, different, unique and unpredictable. We are interested in rediscovering these aspects, making us capture them without immediately putting them into boxes already prepared in our minds. The only way we know is to traverse different territories, without aspiring to originality or novelty. Every discovery is a return, and every intuition is a memory."
