We are in the middle of the 50th season at the Polish Dance Theater. This is a good time to remind you that during this time we are accompanied by the anniversary bilingual publication "Live record / Live captured".
The theme of BIRTH, which is key to the publication, appears in various ways - in the texts, which recall the moment of the theater's founding and the "second birth," that is, the time since PTT moved to its own premises. And in the monumental photographic section, which is filled with 3,600 photos that are pictorial impressions on the composition and decomposition of movement, inspired by its various forms, such as sport, which was seen as an expression of artistry during the Olympic Games in ancient Greece, Eadweard Muybridge's study of movement, Expressionist dance and the genre of dance theater, often operating with grotesque and deformation, and various organic shapes that converse with nature.
Whoever wants to learn more can drop by one of the university libraries across the country, a must-have copy has been provided to all of them.
The publication will soon be available for sale in the online store on the Polish Dance Theater website.
