The musical and dance performance "Ball 1850" will be presented on the first day of the International Festival "1 page 1 look 180 seconds" on 14.12.2023 at the Large Studio of the Polish Dance Theater
The musical and dance spectacle "Ball 1850" is a story about the fate of two people united by affection and separated by social status, about the functioning of the Polish elite in its difficult decades, marked by the yoke of hostile interests. It is, finally, a story about the inalienable and indelible national culture - the dance and music of our ancestors, whose peculiar and unique forms continue to emerge to this day and enjoy considerable interest both at home and abroad.
As well as an artistic story, it is also a story of the Polish elite.
In addition to an artistic feast, "Ball 1850" is a kind of résumé of the cultural life of the Polish elite of the 19th century, full of polonaises, mazurkas, waltzes and polkas.
