The next guest of director Pietras - in the series "Characters of the 50th anniversary of the Polish Dance Theater" - will be Pawel Chynowski.
Today Pawel Chynowski basically needs no introduction, but let us remind you (the rest will probably be added during the meeting) of a few facts: He was the originator of the Wójcikowski Medal, awarded by the Polish Dance Theater to the best dancers of the younger generation. He invented the celebration of International Dance Day in Poland. He co-created the celebration of the 200th anniversary of the Polish Ballet in 1985. It was then that he began working with the Grand Theater in Warsaw (later also the National Opera), with which he has been associated ever since - as a partner and deputy director of the Polish National Ballet, Krzysztof Pastor.
.Paweł Chynowski is also the author of many ballet librettos and the author of entries to the "PWM Encyclopedia of Music", the "Polish Biographical Dictionary" and the American "International Encyclopedia of Dance".
