It has become a tradition that in December at the Polish Dance Theater we open a space for creative and interdisciplinary interpretation of movement
We will meet with the word - and the book Kinesthetic Strategies in the Space of Dance - during an author's evening by Regina Lissowska-Postaremczak.
Sight will allow us to delight in the performance BLOT-Body Rope of Thought by the Tangaj Collective group, exploring the theme of corporeality, as well as the spectacle of old dances - polonaises, mazurkas, waltzes and polkas - during the performance "Ball 1850" by the PUK Art Foundation. The sense of sight will also guide us through the exhibition in the Small Studio of the Polish Dance Theater "1 Look at Movement," including works by the Grand Prix winners of the six editions of the "1 Page - 1 Look - 180 Seconds" competition to date.
Film works will appear twice. A jubilee highlight will be, presented at the request of the audience, the documentary film "My Theater" directed by Radek Wysocki, telling the history of the Polish Dance Theater from the perspective of a surprising narrator.
For the festival finale, we invite you to the premiere of the 7th chorographic film project of the Polish Dance Theater, directed by Iwona Pasinska. "Historiae vivae "resurrect the atmosphere of silent cinema, telling in a light and humorous way about ordinary things that become extraordinary thanks to the magic of the silver screen.
All 3 categories - "1 page - 1 look - 180 seconds" will, of course, bind together the outcome of the 7th edition of the "1 page - 1 look - 180 seconds" competition.
