From the mesoderm the fang descended.
And lacuna among the stars
Circle by circle he lazed like this.
The bone thrown spongy
Today in the fascia grows.
Duramater binds it together
Tenderly surrounds the body.
The conical tip
Moves into the tan, along with it the leg.
"My tail and I" is the latest production of the acclaimed independent dance collective Holobiont, Polish artists working in the field of experimental choreography for families.
The performance addressed to families with children aged 3 years and older in a humorous and relevant way for young audiences tells the story of evolution, one of the remnants of which is the human tailbone.
During the event, the creators will invite families to join in a movement game together with the performers and release the creative energy that often lies dormant in our tails.
POSPECTIVE WARS "In the tail"
We invite you to tail wagging. We'll be wagging, waving, twirling, shaking, curling and rearing. During the workshop we will focus on one of the evolutionary remnants that is the human tail bone. In a humorous and appropriate way for the youngest, we will examine how to release the creative energy hidden in the tip of our spines. We will be helped by special toy tails from Mr.Tail. The workshop is part of a larger project by the Holobiont collective, which is titled "My Tail and Me".
Workshop start: 13:15
The performance was co-organized by the National Institute of Music and Dance as part of the PolandDances / Choreographic Residencies project, co-financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage
.In 2024, the performance was presented in the program of the Polish Dance Platform and at the Internationale Tanzmesse NRW in Düsseldorf.
