.Presentation of the performance as part of the "Boundaries of Nature - Boundaries of Culture" Festival was co-financed from funds of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage from the Fund for Promotion of Culture within the framework of the "Dance" program, implemented by the National Institute of Music and Dance.
All involved in the performance VONA, focus on a personal perspective and their own narrative on the current situation in Ukraine.
VONA is a meeting with female artists from Ukraine who - due to the sudden threat to their lives - had to radically redefine the concept of their own country and home. The main goal of the project is to create unique art about the contemporary Ukrainian woman, to express all her experiences and emotions through body language, to try to explore the phenomenon of the contemporary Ukrainian woman.
The international art project VONA was created in cooperation with the world-renowned Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch (Germany, Wuppertal), Pina Bausch Zentrum and with the support of the Goethe Institute operating in Ukraine. The show is choreographed by Rainer Behr, a member of the Tanztheater Wuppertal ensemble, personally invited to collaborate by Pina Bausch in 1995.
The project is produced by Maksim Dobroliubov (Ukraine). The staging of the choreographic performance VONA was prepared by the production team of Pina Bausch's Tanztheater Wuppertal, with the participation of six dancers from different regions of Ukraine.
The project is a collaboration between Pina Bausch and the company.
VONA on the stage of the Polish Dance Theater will be presented on April 27 at 8:00 pm.
