With words and a book dedicated to the study and experience of movement, the 5th International Festival "1 Page - 1 Look-180 Seconds" will be met during the author's evening by Regina Lissowska - Postaremczak "Kinesthetic Strategies in the Dance Space", to which we invite you on December 16 at 5 pm to the Small Studio of the Polish Dance Theater.

We will look at the ways in which the creators of dance performances explore the sensation of their own body and its various parts in space without the participation of the visual sense, and how they adapt this experience to affect the kinesthetic perception of the audience. In other words, we will consider whether it is possible to perceive dance while ignoring its visuality.

The publication was based on Regina Lissowska-Postaremczak's doctoral dissertation. It was reviewed by Dr. Danuta Kuznicka, Professor of the IS of the Polish Academy of Sciences, who commented on it as follows:

There is no doubt that when following the phenomena embedded in the human body, one cannot help but reach for their explanations provided by modern science. However, Lissowska-Postaremczak's work brings out another important aspect of the issue: here, between the explorations of artists and scientists, there are links of mutual inspiration, and dance often becomes a laboratory of exact knowledge.(...)Let us emphasize at the same time that this is only one dimension of the broader perspectives opened up by the work. For it reveals not only transformations in the areas of systematized reflection, but in general the transformation of culture, which increasingly places individual experience, corporeality and processuality at the center of attention in place of normative rationality, intellect and form.
